Random Occurrence ...
Today while I was driving down Hollywood Blvd. on my way to deviantART headquarters, I witnessed something that I had never seen before. As I pulled into a left hand turn lane, I noticed that the traffic light was lit as both yellow and green. And this wasn't simply a quick anomaly. Since oncoming traffic didn't know whether to speed up or yield, I waited to turn for a good three minutes. I even had time to snap a quick picture of the traffic lights on my camera phone, but accidentally forgot to save it! That would have been a great photo.

In other news, about a month ago, I started keeping a book of quotes comprised of things I've heard in real life. "Why?" you ask. So that when I'm old, in a nursing home, and relying on others to keep my frail body alive, I will be able to laugh and remember the good times. For example ... when a certain English professor said that she "tossed her aunt's salad over the weekend." Or when a well-known male deviantART staff member said, "Today I decided to be a girl." In just a month, I've collected some real gems. Be careful what you say; you may be next.

I hope that everyone has seen the new look of Premium Content on the front-page. So far, we've taken baby strides in improving Premium Content, but in the near future, things will really begin to heat up. There are definitely some interesting articles and interviews that will be released soon. ostit:
On that note, if anyone is interested in joining the Premium Content team, please let me know. Keep in mind that I'm not looking for anyone who simply wants to become a deviantART staff member. I'm only interested in people who are willing to work, can meet deadlines, are active in the community, and are reliable people overall. If that's not you, please don't apply.
And Finally ...
If any Southern California resident is interested in hiking around Griffith Park or Runyon Canyon, or would perhaps like to go see the Lakers, Clippers, Dodgers, or Angels, play ... drop me a line and hopefully we can work something out.

Devious Dreams: The winners!
The Devious Dreams campaign launched in March 2019 as a chance for DeviantArt to grant artists the tools they need to make their creative evolution a reality. With over $20,000 in prizing available to make dreams come true, thousands of deviants shared a wide range of creative and heartfelt dreams for their artistic future. We particularly enjoyed seeing the support everyone put forward for each others’ creative goals. Now that the campaign has come to a close, it is our honor to announce the recipients of Devious Dreams grants—a collective of artists from all walks of life with a broad spectrum of creative ideas. Some of these deviants requested drawing tablets so they can create every day. Others asked for traditional art supplies, or photography tools to more efficiently create and share their art. Some asked for crafting supplies like sculpting or sewing materials. The projects each artist put forward were varied and inspired, and it’s our pleasure to help bring these dreams

For eighteen years, DeviantArt has been where art starts: a place for artists of all walks of life to learn and grow together. In that time, we’ve witnessed countless artists’ skill level evolve as they’ve honed their craft with the support and encouragement of the DeviantArt community. But that’
Happy Holidays from DeviantArt!
‘Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the house,
Not a deviant was clicking
On a touchpad or mouse.
Deviations were packed
In their boxes with care
In hopes re-designers
Soon would be there.
The deviants were nestled
All soft in their Profile
In hopes that a change
Would come soon with style.
They’d heard mysterious stories
From the Betas upstairs,
And they knew something special
Soon would be theirs.
New dark mode, new light mode,
Love Meter, and more!
New backgrounds, Profile headers,
More storage for Core!
One curious deviant,
Sketchbook tight in their grips,
Couldn’t wait one day longer,
They must see E
