DeviantART and the upcoming martial arts action film, Ninja Assassin, have teamed up to give all deviants Premium Member access to Journal Skins! With just a few clicks, deviants can easily customize, organize, and maximize their journal experience.

During this special Ninja Assassin promotion, which runs through November 29, deviants can install the Journal Skins of their choice in just a few easy steps. Using a Journal Skin is a way for deviants to personalize their Profile Page for the entire community to see. It's a fancy method for deviants to show off their visual tastes!

Select one of the awesome Ninja Assassin Journal Skins, or pick the skin of your choice in deviantART's Journal Skins category.

On the selected skin's deviation page, underneath the preview image, click the "Install to Journal" button and read the "Skin Install Confirmation" agreement. Once you agree to the terms and click "Install to Journal", you'll be able to use the skin on all your journals.

To apply a skin, create a new journal entry ("Update Journal"). Fill in your journal content per normal. When done, click the "Journal Skin" button on the bottom of the page. It will likely be labeled "Deviant Green (default)".

Choose your preferred skin click "OK". Your Journal Skin should now be applied to your journal. You can click "Preview" to preview the skin before it's published.

When ready, click "Submit" to publish your journal.

All deviants have the ability to install Journal Skins during the Ninja Assassin promotion. Journal Skins installed by non-Premium Members will display a small banner that says "Journal Skins Courtesy of: Ninja Assassin. In Theatres November 25".

Journal Skins and Ninja Assassin banners installed during the promotion will remain in a deviant's journal, even once the promotion concludes, as long as a deviant doesn't edit the journal after November 29.

If a non-Premium Member installs a Journal Skin and later receives a Premium Membership during the promotion, the journal will remain skinned, but the Ninja Assassin banner will be removed only once the journal has been edited.

There's no limit to the number of times skins can be installed or uninstalled.

Premium Members do not see Ninja Assassin banners.

It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles, CA hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out to patients.

Comic-Con: Day 4On Sunday, the 4th and final day of San Diego Comic-Con, we were able to keep the love flowing to show the artists and art enthusiasts who came by our booth just how much they meant to us.
The last day of Comic-Con is always bittersweet. The air buzzes with positivity, inspiration, and camaraderie, but in the back of your mind, you know it may be another year before you see some of these friends, old and new. Sure, we always have the Internet, but there's something special about meeting in real life that can’t compare to flipping through a portfolio of sketches, laughing out loud with your peers, and supporting artists’ hard work right then and there.
There was rarely a moment when one of our seven kiosks wasn’t occupied by an artist. Young or old, newbie or professional, digital or traditional, the chance to sit down and create art was difficult to pass up with inspiration coming from every direction.

Comic-Con: Day 3Saturday kicked off Day 3 of Comic-Con, and the crowds poured onto the convention floor to start the weekend in Geek Style.

Comic-Con: Day 1San Diego Comic-Con Day 1 is winding down to such wee hours, some sticklers might call it “Technically A Few Moments Into Day 2.” But we live by the belief that new days don’t technically start until after you’ve fallen asleep, and all of the deviantART staff in attendance are still buzzing with energy after such an amazing first day on the convention floor.
