This past weekend, deviantART teamed up with #DeviantMEET-Paris to host a deviantMEET that ultimately yielded over 250 deviant attendees! As you may have read in the latest Site Update, our Devious Technology, Product, and Product Marketing teams are currently in France -- participating in a staff retreat, that has everyone working hard to improve and optimize many key areas of deviantART. On Saturday, June 9th, we took a small break from our discussions and traveled to the City of Light to meet and mingle with Parisian deviants. Here's a quick recap of the day's events!

Site Update: Staff Retreat, .Art, deviantMEETsIn this week's Site Update, we don't have any publicly visible changes, as our Devious Technology (dT), Product, and Product Marketing teams are all still at a staff retreat!
At the beginning of the week, the dT team worked on improving our internal development tools to increase efficiency. Then, on Wednesday, we let any staff members at the retreat pitch fun and exciting ideas for deviantART features that could be built in two days. After each feature idea was pitched, everyone from dT chose which projects they'd like to work on. Throughout the year, engineers primarily work on projects that are assigned to them, so sometimes it's important to turn the tables and let them choose projects in which they're most passionate and excited about.

People head to South by Southwest (SXSW) in search of that one thing that stops them in their tracks. Site Update: Premium Content PlatformIn our continuous effort to improve the deviantART experience, we're publishing weekly Site Updates to keep members informed and to gather feedback. Below is a list of recent changes to the site, bug fixes, and feedback that was brought up by members in the last Site Update.
What's New

DeviantART is proud to announce our Premium Content Platform — providing the ability for content creators to become sellers and generate real earnings by making digital files of their high-quality work available for download. Sellers are able to set their own prices while retaining 80% of all revenue earned, and buyers are able to quickly get the things they want with the satisfaction of supporting the artists they love.

FAQ Revamp Pt 4: Prints FAQ MergerHi Everyone!!!
While we didn't get any extra time to focus on updating FAQs this week, we did see a major improvement launch on the Help & FAQ page. We are pleased to announce that the Prints FAQ is no longer separated from the Main FAQ!!! Prior to this change in order to even begin searching for Prints related information you had to click on the Prints section and then you would have the ability to search by keywords for anything related to Prints. To eliminate this problem the Prints FAQ has been merged into the main FAQ system. You can now type in print related keywords into the main FAQ and find all the information you need.
Please note nothing has changed in terms of the organization of the Prints FAQ everything should visually look the same, the only change is that the Main FAQ Search is now able to locate the Prints FAQs.

Seven Sins Contest Winners Tweet

Our Seven Deadly Sins contest allowed participants to enter in to a battle between doing what's right and giving into temptation.

In the end, every one of the Seven Deadly Sins had a winner. The grand-prize winner, chosen by the worldwide Chairman of Fotolia, Oleg Tscheltzof, will be flown out to see the advertisement printed on a billboard in San Francisco, CA and pocket $1500 USD. The six remaining finalist ads will also have their submissions printed and displayed around the city.

It's been 3 years since we've visited "La Ville-Lumière," and we're excited to make our triumphant return. On Saturday, June 9th, deviants of all ages are invited to join us for a very special deviantMEET at Mécano Bar. We'll be there for much of the day, so come by at anytime!

Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of ^SaTaNiA and =ZeldaDreams, who coordinate deviantMEETs in Paris monthly and have been incredibly helpful in making this happen, deviantART will be taking over much of Mécano Bar.

When you arrive, be sure to mention that you're there for the deviantMEET and you'll be given a deviantART nametag.

We'll be hanging out for much of the day, so stop by anytime after 2:00 PM to meet and mingle with deviantART staff, fellow deviants, and to simply have a great time!

The bar has free Wi-Fi, so we encourage deviants to bring laptops, iPads, sketchbooks, notepads, and cameras. This is a great opportunity to connect with old and new friends alike! This is an all ages event. Those choosing to drink alcoholic beverages will need to provide proper identification.

If you're not available right at 2:00 PM, feel free to drop in later in the day. The deviantART crew will be hanging out for hours. Plus, there's a strong possibility that deviant attendees will receive free deviantART goodies.

With our deviantMEET just two weeks away, it's getting hard to contain our excitement! We've been overwhelmed by the positive response from deviants who plan to attend and can't wait to meet, greet, and celebrate with everyone.

Because attendance will be strong, we encourage deviants to arrive anytime after 2:00 PM. While our deviantMEET does kick-off at 2:00 PM, there's no pressure to arrive right away! DeviantART staff will be hanging out and available for much of the day, so feel free to arrive at the time that's best for you. This will ensure that we have a steady flow of people coming in and out of the Mecano Bar, allowing enough room for people to mingle, talk, and still have a good time.
