Farrah Fawcett, 1947-2009

Living in the Hollywood area while growing up, friends and I would often visit television or movie sets while they were filming on location -- just for fun, to hang out, and see what kind of adventures we could get ourselves into. We weren't invited or anything, it was moreso a 'see what you can see' type of thing.
About 10 years ago, a friend and I were hanging around the set of
Silk Hope, a made for TV movie starring
Farrah Fawcett. We were minding our own business, on a public sidewalk, when a set security guard started to harass us without provocation. He must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed because he was really giving us a hard time for no reason. Just as we were about to leave, Farrah's assistant walked over to us and asked if we'd like to join Farrah on set. We eagerly said yes and were soon chatting with one of the original Charlie's Angels.
During this celebrity adventure phase of my youth (I'm so old!), I encountered and met quite a few celebrities. Some were totally down to earth and normal people and others were complete jerks you'd never want to be friends with, but Farrah was completely in a class of her own. Incredibly nice, totally sincere, and just a good person.
She gave us food from craft services, signed autographs, and chatted for at least half an hour (it would have been longer, but
we had to go). She talked about everything -- the upcoming movie, her life, and even inquired what we were up to, what our interests were, and so on. She could not have been more pleasant. A classy lady for sure.
There's no place like home! ...

After 53 days of
World Touring, $
spyed and I are back home in Southern California! Aside from seeing my family, my dog, and everyone at deviantART headquarters, what I'm most looking forward to is sleeping in my own bed. Trufax. I have a fantastically large bed that I very much missed while touring, especially during the times when I slept on a twin or a full. Aside from the Carlos Quentin
home run baseball I caught in 2006, I would say my bed is my favorite possession.
MOAR Productivity! ...

To all my World Tour friends, if you've sent me a note or e-mail in recent weeks, I promise you'll get a reply shortly. I'm still backlogged, but now that I have my beautiful desktop and dual monitors I can just feel the productivity power increasing! Thank you for hanging in there and please feel free to ping me again if something is urgent.

Also, I have been asking this for over a month now...will DA be at ComiCon this year or is this rumor or just crazy talk? I haven't gotten any answers on this at all and it would be nice to know!

We are all angels with only one wing and we can only fly by embracing each other.
Hope the trip was worth it
Kinda funny, I was talking to a friend in CA a couple of days back who´s living in Hollywood and he told me about the "crazyness" Downtown LA is going through due to the recent deaths.
It´s sad but on the other hand interesting to see what huge impact that can have.
<--- needs to go to CA, home sweet home
