EYE SPY ...

Living and working around Hollywood (aka The Entertainment Capital of the World) your chances of spotting a celebrity automatically increase. $lolly is constantly bragging about his celebrity sightings, so I figured it was time for team Retail to share our finds.

The first two sightings below have been reported in Hollywood-speak. I don't normally talk like that. I don't think.

"It was a double dose of celebrity fun at 25 Degrees this afternoon. Shortly after being seated in the far back booth for lunch, $Waveswinger, $trowlandson, and I spotted Kathleen Robertson of 90210 fame. Looking pretty and casually dressed, she ate with an older couple. Service for our meal was a little on the slow side (per usual), until it came time to pay the check and have our plates cleared. It was then we were informed that Heidi Klum needed a table -- our table. We barely had a chance get up and walk away before Heidi and her entourage took over. She was shorter than I imagined; let's say 5'8"."

"On Friday, while lunching at the Roosevelt's pool my friends and I saw a trio of female celebs from The Office. Angela Kinsey (Angela), Kate Flannery (Meredith), and Melora Hardin (Jan) were dressed casually, big smiles, and having a good time. They hung around the pool for about ten minutes before being whisked inside by an assistant-type. If I had to guess, I think there was some kind of promotional product giveaway going on, as I also spotted a couple of other barely recognizable actors carrying oversized branded shopping bags."

I hope no one is thinking, "Heidi, you've gone Hollywood. Why report such nonsense?" Well, you're right. It is nonsense, but it's fun to share. And besides, I'm still a nerd. Telling your friends you saw Heidi Klum is cool, but there are very few celebrities I'd truly geek out over seeing.

People I would be excited to see ... Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls), Sandra Bullock (have always liked her), Christina Applegate (Samantha Who?), Mark Cuban (Mavericks owner/technology guru), Fran Drescher (The Nanny), Angela Lansbury (classic actress), anyone from the Star Trek, Stargate, X-Files, and Firefly TV shows, Warren Buffet (investor/businessman), Larry Page and Sergey Brin (Google founders), Meg Whitman (eBay CEO), Carlos Quentin (baseball player), and let's add Oprah for good measure. Honestly and truly, I would much rather spot any of those people than Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, or George Clooney.
