BUDDIES ARE IMPORTANT!

¢starvingartist (Stan) and I are carbon monoxide buddies. No, we don't have a weird obsession with the odorless, colorless, and tasteless gas ... we simply inform each other when carbon monoxide events occur in our lives.

For example, August 2007 ...

Stan: hmm... my carbon monoxide detector went off twice now... gonna go for a walk, just in case

Heidi: Oh Snape!

Heidi: Open some windows.

Stan: yeah, I opened everything

Perhaps you're thinking, "Why do you have a carbon monoxide buddy anyway?" I think the better question is, "Why don't you have a carbon monoxide buddy? Eh? Eh? Couldn't find anyone?!" I kid, I kid.

Getting back to srs bsns, carbon monoxide buddies are important so that you can share events from nights like tonight. Even though Stan wasn't around to see my Skype messages, I know he was with me in spirit (just like an odorless, colorless, and tasteless gas).

[8:44:52 PM] Heidi says: Carbon monoxide detector went off.

[8:47:04 PM] Heidi says: We're not even using the heater.

[9:10:32 PM] Heidi says: Sweet. Another one went off.

[9:20:44 PM] Heidi says: Tonight's events will be turned into a journal.

[10:49:44 PM] Heidi says: This night just keeps getting better/worse.

[11:36:31 PM] Heidi says: The gas man visited twice tonight. Once from my original call and then again because he didn't feel comfortable with the findings after his first visit. As he left the second time he said, "You should be okay."

[11:37:11 PM] Heidi says: It wasn't like, "You SHOULD be okay!" Hurrah. Good times. All fixed. It was, "You should be okay." I hope. Or I'm fired. And you're dead.

Remember ... you can't smell it, see it, or taste it, but it could be there now!
